01
Health & safety policy
Safety is everything.
Soul Climb Limited is committed to preventing harm to anyone affected by our work: clients, site teams, the public and ourselves. We meet our duties under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and the regulations that apply to the work we do, and we aim to go beyond the minimum wherever we can.
Responsibility
The director, Alex Hawley, has overall responsibility for health and safety, for making sure this policy is followed, and for keeping it up to date. Anyone working for or with Soul Climb is expected to follow it and to raise concerns straight away.
Competence
We only take on work we are trained and competent to do. Training and certificates are kept current and recorded, and we take competent advice where a task needs it.
Planning the work
Every job is assessed before it starts. Risk assessments and method statements are specific to the task and site, follow the hierarchy of control, and are reviewed whenever the work or conditions change.
On site
We follow the client's and principal contractor's site rules, inductions and permit systems. We wear the correct PPE, use only inspected and suitable equipment, and keep work areas safe.
Stop work
Anyone can stop work if it is unsafe. Work only restarts once the hazard is controlled, the method is revised and the team has been rebriefed.
Incidents and review
Accidents, near misses and dangerous occurrences are reported to the client straight away and to the HSE under RIDDOR where required. Lessons are recorded and acted on. This policy is reviewed at least once a year.
02
Environmental policy
Keeping our footprint small.
We aim to reduce the environmental impact of our work and to comply with all relevant environmental law and client site requirements.
Travel
We plan site visits to cut unnecessary journeys, combine trips where we can, and handle work remotely when a visit isn't needed.
Paper and documents
RAMS, reports and records are produced and shared digitally by default. We only print where a site requires it.
Waste and materials
We follow each site's waste and segregation rules, take our own waste away responsibly, and reuse or recycle wherever possible.
Suppliers and review
We prefer suppliers and products that reduce environmental impact, and we review this policy at least once a year.
03
Complaints policy
If something isn't right, tell us.
We want every client to be happy with our work. If you're not, we'll listen, look into it properly and put it right where we can.
How to complain
Email Alex@SoulClimb.co.uk or call 07565 310 425. Please tell us the job, what went wrong and what you would like us to do.
What happens next
We'll acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days and aim to give you a full response within 10 working days. If it will take longer, we'll tell you why and when to expect an answer.
Putting it right
Where we've got something wrong, we'll correct it, explain what happened and record what we've changed so it doesn't happen again.
If you're still not satisfied
Tell us, and the director will review the complaint and the response personally. Your statutory rights are not affected.
04
Cancellation policy
Changes and cancellations.
Plans change. This sets out how cancellations and postponements work. The terms in your quotation or written agreement always take priority.
Cancelling or postponing
Let us know as early as possible by email or phone. We'll confirm the change in writing and agree new dates if the work is postponed.
Charges
Any cancellation or postponement charges are set out in your quotation before work is booked. We won't add charges that weren't agreed in writing.
Work already done
Work completed or documents prepared before a cancellation, and costs already committed such as booked travel, may be charged as set out in the quotation.
If we need to change dates
If we have to reschedule, we'll tell you as soon as possible and agree a new date with you, at no extra cost.
05
Modern slavery & equality
Fair and respectful working.
Soul Climb Limited is a small company and is not required to publish a modern slavery statement. We set out our position voluntarily because it matters to us and to our clients.
Modern slavery
We do not tolerate slavery, forced labour or human trafficking in our business or supply chain. We work with reputable suppliers and subcontractors, and we will report any concerns to the appropriate authorities.
Equality and respect
We treat everyone fairly and with respect, whatever their background, and we don't tolerate discrimination, harassment or bullying, on site or off.
